As the gardening year draws to a close we wanted to take a moment to thank all of our customers this year for their support.

It’s been a super busy year, but another move forwards as we look to grow this still very young business. This year we’ve said good bye to a couple of our favourite nurseries near us that have closed their doors for good. It’s a difficult environment currently in which to grow and sell plants commercially, with the limitations imposed by Brexit and the growing challenges of climate change.

This has made us all the more determined to make a success of what we’re doing, and to that end we are so grateful to everyone who has taken an interest in what we do and put their trust (and hard-earned money) in us and our plants. We know we’re a young business and sometimes it needs a leap of faith. We hope you’ve grown to love the plants you’ve bought from us as much as we’ve loved growing them – thank you so much and we hope to see you again next year!

Much of our stock is now being prepared for winter and going into dormancy, so you’ll notice the stock available for sale is reducing considerably. We’ll keep some stock for sale over autumn and winter, but for the most part will bring our existing stock back online once it comes back into growth in early spring, as well as new stock we’re sowing, propagating and dividing currently ready for next year.

So for now, from us at the nursery, we wish you a restful and happy end of the year and festive season, when that arrives. While it’s sometimes sad to watch the nights draw in and the weather turn chilly, it’s also good to have a time for rest and contemplation, a moment to reset the batteries and to plot and plan for the next growing year ahead.
