Description
Physostegia virginiana var. speciosa ‘Bouquet Rose’ is a stately, unique perennial that brings clean lines, reliable structure, and a splash of late-summer romance to the garden. Commonly known as the “Obedient Plant,” this fascinating cottage garden classic gets its name because its individual blooms can be gently multi-positioned on their stems and will stay exactly where you leave them! It forms vigorous, tidy clumps of upright, square-sided stems clad in sharply toothed, lance-shaped mid-green leaves. From mid-summer through to autumn, it is topped with elegant, dense spikes of soft lilac-pink tubular flowers that resemble dainty, miniature foxgloves floating above the foliage.
